Raiders Football (Alpharetta Style)
I have lived in Atlanta all my life and been a Atlanta Falcon fan all my life. My 3 year old son however is a Raiders Fan. Shannon gave me a football table top helmet game last Christmas and Casey and I play it all the time. When we first started playing it Casey was big into pirates and hence the affection for the Raiders. It has been his team ever since. Friday night we discovered the local Alpharetta High School mascot was in fact the Raiders. So we all headed out to Casey's first High School Football game. He loved it!. He was so pumped, shouting "Let's go Raiders" most of the night. Noah was awake the entire time and was great. We stayed into the 3rd quarter and unfortunately left with the score 0 - 0. The paper the next day let us know that the Raiders lost, but the experience was unforgettable. The love given by a child's expressions of wonderment and joy are overwhelming and unmatched.

Nov 4-5th - Great Weekend
We had a great weekend. Playtime with the boys was plentiful. Had a wonderful dinner with Friends one night. Went to the Trainshow to get a new car for the Christmas Train and meet the nicest man that was so very energized about Trains that it really put an extra touch on the day. Finished it up with a trip to the Aquarium with Ma for her 80th birthday. One funny story: At the end of our Aquarium visit we were helped out by an Aquarium Staff Member with a ride to the Car in a Golf Cart (Casey loved it of course). We got back to the car and myself and Ma left. Shannon waited a while and fed Noah at which point Casey announces that he has to go Poop. So, Shannon, Noah & Casey all head back to the Aquarium. After everything is finished up they start walking back and Casey is getting tired, he says to Shannon..."Mommy, me tired, where is that Golf Cart"...Ha-Ha.....Halloween 2006
Casey was an Astronaut for Halloween this year and with Noah as an Alien they made a great pair. Shannon made some wonderful costumes. We did the yearly neighborhood Parade & Pizza party where the kids get to run around in their costumes on the tennis courts before heading out for Trick-Or-Treating. Shannon took the first leg and I took the second. Casey had a great time and surprisingly isn't afraid of anything on Halloween, there is just something about it that he knows people are just dressed up and that is it."H" Day at School
Shannon, "what starts with H, Hair, you have hair, mommy has hair"...Casey, "Yeah, Daddy, not so much"

A new journey...
A new journey began for Shannon and I 3 1/2 years ago today. It has been an amazing time of life. An adventure that no one can describe, the feeling of holding your own creation through the grace of god is something awe inspiring and never matched. And through all the hiccups (literal and figuratively) you end each day in a state of wonderment of the time you've just spent and what great things you will see tomorrow. Happy Half Birthday Casey, we love you!!

Church and Toys
On Sunday we took the plunge and got off to church with both boys for the first time. Casey & Noah both stayed with us and did great (Noah slept through it all). Casey went up to the front again at children's story time. The minister took out two toys and Casey immediately spoke up and said he had a toy truck like that. She then said, "but you if guys want new toys then you or your parents have to go out and buy them, right"....Casey responded, "I have a lot of toys, I don't need any more"...it was a great laugh and needless to say we were very proud parents in that moment.

Fall Football Moments
You have seen them I am sure, the ads on television showing the crisp fall day with little kids running and jumping around the perfect front lawn playing football, rolling in the grass, laughing it up.....I was in one of those magical to good to be true ads this weekend, except it wasn't an ad, it was just Casey and I for about 45 minutes having the time of our life from doing just what they show in those ads, running, jumping, catching a ball, rolling around in the grass and laughing it up on a cool crisp fall afternoon.....
