November 13th - Laughter
Laughter is a beautiful thing...and Noah started down his lifetime of laughing with a little help from his big brother. Noah's sock had fallen off and Shannon mentioned to Casey that Noah now had bare feet just like him. Casey turned and put his foot on Noah's foot and Noah let out his first laugh. Magical!
Nov 8th, 2006 - Noah has slept through the night
Now if only Casey would have slept through the night last night as well...DOH!...those scary Ghosts will get you every time.
Nov 7th. - Happy Birthday Aunt Colleen
Noah would like to be the first person to wish Aunt Colleen a Happy Happy Birthday today
Noah's First Halloween
Shannon made a very cute little Alien (ties in with Casey being an Astronaut) costume for his first Halloween. She modeled it after the Aliens from Toy Story and it looked great. Being 2 months old Noah slept through most of the Halloween experience, but we have some good pictures that will be up soon.
Pictures
New Pictures are up and more are coming very soon.
Surgery
We have the offical word. Noah's kidney is still blocked and he is scheduled for Surgery on Jan. 29th, 2007. I will keep you informed as we get closer.
The Rollover
Mark it down, Oct.24th, 2006 and Noah and figured out how to roll from his back to his belly. Due to the fact that they drill it into you that you should never, ever leave a baby on their stomach while sleeping this new development puts us into some nervous times for me. I have many memories of flipping Casey over at night from his belly. They say that once they are rolling they should be ok, but it is all they talk about before having a baby, so it is a little hard not to think about.
Taking Control at 2 Months
Yesterday Noah was drifting off to sleep, pacifier in his mouth, when suddenly he stop sucking on it, reached up with his hand, pulled it out of his mouth..Proceeds to put it back into his mouth...and finally pulls it out again, holding on tight, sound asleep....so funny and really amazing at this age..
2 Month Appointment

Active, Alert and All Smiles
Babies are amazing. The amount of change that occurs in such a short period of time is really quite astounding. In a couple of weeks Noah has gone from a cry and sleep machine to a curious little creature making new sounds, watching you and toys intently and giving the most wonderful gift of all, a smile.
MRI
Friday, Oct. 6th was Noah's MRI. He was great...after not eating for hours he held out sleeping until we were able to get the process underway, really amamzing. The MRI took about an hour and a half...the prep (including waiting room time) was five hours. Everything went very well and it wasn't as scary as I thought it would be. The worst part was giving him the IV. They had to give it twice because of a ballooned vein and used the alienish light to shine through his foot to find a good vein.
We find out the results in a couple of weeks and will keep everyone updated with what lies next.
1 Month Appointment
Noah checked out great during his one month appointment and is growing at a very good rate. Here are the stats.

Introducing Noah
Five weeks into his new life things are finally settling down enough to introduce you all to our newest edition. Noah Preston Watson was born August 5th at 4:58pm. We have a long first couple of weeks. All of our family helped out tremendously through the first couple of weeks. Shannon's mom & sister were in town during week 2 & 3 and we have had many visits from family and friends following that time as well.
Noah is doing great. We have had many doctor visits and will have another one in a couple of weeks that should really give us the true take on what is going on with his kidney.
August 5th, 2006 -
It's a Boy!...Noah Preston Watson is here and PICTURES are up...more updates soon...
Half way home ..20 Weeks!!...Welcome all to the new website for our newest addition to the family. I have just started up the website so at this time none of the links on the navigation work except for the link to Casey's Site. Also, the information in the header is just made up for placement purposes except for the due date, which is Aug. 14th. I just wanted to get a head start on things and post some Ultrasound pictures to get the ball rolling. I will eventually turn this into a blog page just like Casey's so I can keep everyone up to date on the daily activity of the new baby. Hope everyone enjoys the site!
Predict the Due Date?

Update: 25 Weeks - Everybody Was Kung-Fu Fighting
I have never been that involved with Martial Arts....I love a good Kung-Fu movie just as much as the next guy but never got involved in any Karate, etc personally...That is why it is strange to us that the new baby is constantly, every day, trying out the latest Kung-Fu moves in Shannon's belly...I mean really, it's pretty intense stuff...you can really see and feel that baby kicking and moving around like crazy...We remember Casey being active but nothing like this...
Update: 21 Weeks
We went back to the doctors today for our regular scheduled visit. We were able to ask a lot more questions about the general health of the baby and the babies kidney. The Mid-Wife reassured us that the baby is very healthy. Her comments about the "Pyelectasis" (kidney issue) were very encouraging. She stated that this is a very common thing to find and she has never had an experience were it didn't clear up on it's own. It is a "soft" marker for Downs so they have to menition it, but with NO other markers and only one kidney having the problem she said is a great sign and would be rare for anything else to be wrong. The baby is still very active, a strong heart beat and in the 85% for weight.
Ultrasound: 20 Weeks
The baby was very active, so much so that we didn't get as good of pictures as with Casey. Everything checked out ok, except for one of the babies kidney's is a little enlarged due to excess fluid. This can mean a couple of different things, but most of the time with only one of the kidney's having the excess it will clear up on its own and there is no cause of concern. If you would like to read more specifics here is a couple of links explaining the situation.
